Port equipment is essential components of safe and efficient berthing and mooring systems in ports, harbors and marine terminals. These products provide secure access, reliable load points and robust safety features for vessels during docking, mooring and cargo operations.
Nordic Fender supplies a comprehensive range of quay furniture — including quick release hooks, bollards, ladders, and protective rail systems — designed to withstand harsh marine environments and enhance operational safety and efficiency. Our solutions meet quality and durability standards demanded by today’s maritime industry.
Quick release hooks

Engineered for safe, fast and controlled mooring operations. Our quick release hooks ensure reliable holding power and smooth release — improving efficiency and enhancing safety for both crew and vessel.

Quick Release Hooks (QRH) are essential for safe and efficient jetty mooring operations, especially at terminals handling and transporting Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), chemicals, oil, and coal.
Modern mooring systems rely on QRHs to ensure that mooring lines can be secured quickly and safely. High-quality QRHs allow for controlled and effortless release, even when operating at their maximum safe working load.
Failing mooring lines, malfunctioning hooks, or structural failures are well-known hazards that can cause significant damage to vessels and berths, as well as major operational disruptions. With risks this substantial and costly, dependable QRH systems are indispensable.
Bollards

Nordic Fender supplies marine mooring bollards with different capacities, shapes and materials applied to different berths, shipyards, jetties, wharfs, and ports.

The T-head bollard is one of the most widely used bollard types in ports and terminals worldwide. Its characteristic “T”-shaped head provides a large surface area, making it easy to secure multiple mooring lines without the risk of slippage.
Capacity: 10 – 200 Ton
The Single Bitt bollard is a simple and efficient mooring solution, characterized by a single vertical post. It is particularly well suited for smaller vessels and lighter mooring applications, where the loads are moderate and operational flexibility is important. Thanks to its compact design, the single bitt bollard is often installed in ports, marinas, and smaller berths with limited space.
Capacity: 10 – 200 Ton

The Staghorn bollard features two horn-shaped arms that let mooring lines be secured from multiple directions, making it versatile for handling several lines at once. It is commonly used in busy commercial ports and terminals where vessels of varying sizes require safe and efficient berthing.
Capacity: 15 – 200 Ton
The Pillar bollard is a traditional, cylindrical mooring post that provides a simple and effective solution for securing vessel lines. Its round shape allows lines to be passed around from any direction, making it particularly useful in small to medium-sized ports, ferry terminals, and fishing harbors where vessels may approach the berth at varying angles.
Capacity: 10 – 200 Ton

The Double Bitt bollard has two vertical posts on one base, providing a strong and flexible mooring point where multiple lines can be secured independently. It is commonly used in large ports and heavy-duty berths that require high strength and reliable handling of complex mooring setups.
Capacity: 15 – 200 Ton
The Kidney bollard has a rounded shape that offers a broad surface for securing lines, ensuring smooth handling and reduced rope wear. It is commonly used in general cargo berths, tanker terminals, and multipurpose ports where vessels of various sizes need safe and flexible mooring solutions.
Capacity: 15 – 200 Ton

Our rails and barriers are engineered to deliver long-term performance in harsh coastal and industrial environments. Built from high-quality materials and designed for maximum stability, they provide reliable protection along jetties, quays, walkways, and other high-traffic areas.
Available in multiple configurations, the system can be adapted to suit different quay layouts, load requirements, and operational needs. Whether used to safeguard personnel, shield equipment, or define safe working zones, each component is designed for easy installation, low maintenance, and long service life.
To ensure continuous performance, the design focuses on corrosion resistance, structural integrity, and compliance with relevant port safety standards. Optional features such as handrails, toe boards, impact-resistant elements, and customised heights allow the system to be tailored to specific operational environments.
