A lost bet will soon send Per Korsvold on a bike ride from Uskedalen to Lyon. Even before starting, he has raised nearly 60,000 NOK for the Cancer Society.
It was just before Christmas last year that the hobby cyclist from Uskedalen had to acknowledge that the summer vacation of 2024 was going to be anything but relaxing.
When his daughter Erle Marie was given the football jersey of her idol Ada Hegerberg, the Norwegian striker for the French football team Lyon, it became clear that dad Per had to embark on a 2,500-kilometer-long bike ride.
“When the bike ride became a reality, and not reversible, I thought: ‘I have to make the best out of this trip,’” says Per Korsvold.
Already, the project «Ride for a Reason – Lyon 2024» has raised nearly 60,000 NOK.
Per has also got several local businesses on board as sponsors, one of them being Nordic Fender.
We wish Per Korsvold the best of luck on his journey from Norway to Lyon and hope that both the local community, partners, and others will support this fantastic project.
